Solution for Transportation


  • Li-ion batteries is dominant energy storage technology used in electric vehicles. However, battery accounts for >50% of BEV cost. Battery capacity is holding back market penetration of commercial EV’s due to limited driving range. PEM fuel cell systems partly solved EV range concerns but require hydrogen, which is expensive to generate and have few filling stations.
  • Using bio-fuels such as ethanol not only reduces issues with fuel transportation and storage, but can also provide a CO2 neutral power generation and lead to a reduction in CO2 emission and other pollutants.
  • One gallon of ethanol contains same energy as 22 kWh of battery, over 60X higher energy density per kg. Cargo capacity is drastically increased with elimination of thousands of pounds of battery weight.
  • Proof Energy Power Module enables heavy duty trucks to achieve hundreds of miles range at a fraction of the EV battery cost.
